game info: premise & plot
What if Albus Dumbledore knew about the Horcruxes back during the first war? What if, instead of relying on a teenage boy to help him track down and destroy them, he instead enlisted the help of his secret resistance group, the Order of the Phoenix? What if he could find and destroy them all and then kill Lord Voldemort? Find the Horcruxes is an AU game set in 1979, where history is about to change. Sibyll Trelawney never makes a prophesy about "The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord." Without Lily Evans-Potter being put at risk, Severus Snape never has reason to betray Lord Voldemort and become a double-agent ... or does he? Will Peter Pettigrew still betray his best friends and turn them over to the Dark Lord, or will he continue to fight for the Order? Who else might become a double agent and work his or her way into Lord Voldemort's inner circle to discover the hiding places of the Horcruxes? Or join the Order of the Phoenix to help spread wrong information about the very same hiding places? Which side will win? Can Voldemort be defeated, or were the prophesy and Harry Potter truly the keys to his downfall? It's up to the players to decide how things go and what happens in the game. |
Timeline (from the events surrounding Tom Riddle's birth through the 70s) 1 June, 1979: Gianna Harris, a muggleborn witch who has been a Healer at St. Mungo's for fifty years, was named the new Chief of Staff of the hospital after the previous Chief of Staff, Gregory Bonham (descendant of Mungo Bonham), retired. Gianna is the first muggleborn to hold the position. 23 June, 1979: In the early hours of the morning, three emergency cases were rushed (separately) to St. Mungo's, one each for Creature-Induced Injuries, Potion & Plant Poisoning, and Spell Damage. Suspicion arose around mid-morning when it was discovered that the exact same medical history (including names) were given for each of the three cases. Aurors were called in, but they were too late. The "patients" and the ones who had brought them in (who had been either bedside or in waiting areas) began attacking. Considerable damage was sustained to the building, and several of the staff and patients were injured. Fortunately, nobody was killed, but several lawsuits were brought against the hospital over the next week, prompting the hospital to begin looking into stricter security regulations and ways to prevent this from happening again. Calendars August 1979 September 1979 October 1979 November 1979 This section will be updated with the on-going plot in the game as it happens. The game opened July 1, 2009 (which was July 1, 1979 in-game). |
